Our Pistol Fundamentals class builds on the knowledge acquired in the Introduction to Firearms class, designed to help new and intermediate shooters develop a solid foundation in handgun skills. This class emphasizes the safe and effective use of firearms on the range, providing a comprehensive learning experience in a supportive setting.

Course Description:

Key Components of the Course:

  • Safety Brief: An essential overview of range safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure a secure training environment.

  • Rules of Safe Gun Handling: Detailed instruction on the fundamental principles of firearm safety, including proper handling, muzzle control, and trigger discipline.

  • Loading and Unloading: Step-by-step guidance on how to safely load and unload your firearm, both in dry and live fire situations.

  • Dry Fire Repetitions: Practice exercises without live ammunition to develop muscle memory and ensure safe handling techniques.

  • Live Fire Repetitions: Supervised live fire exercises to apply learned skills in a controlled environment, focusing on accuracy and control.

  • Hands-On Demonstrations: Instructors will provide real-time demonstrations of techniques and procedures, offering visual and practical learning opportunities.

  • Student Assessment: Each participant will be individually assessed to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

  • Personal Guidance: Instructors will offer personalized feedback and coaching to help students progress in their skill development.

  • Debrief: A concluding session to review the day’s activities, discuss lessons learned, and provide recommendations for further training.

    • A pistol in good working condition

    • A holster

    • 1 spare magazine

    • Ear protection

    • Eye protection

    • Clothing suitable for an outdoor range

    • Hydration and snacks

  • Round Count: 100 rounds of ammunition
